Google plus - diamond of Google homepage

I believe nobody is surprised that the new social network Google+ has started as a successful project and is quickly gaining likes across the board. A lot of people started prophesying the death of Facebook and they might be right. However, let us not rush to these hasty conclusions, but try to see why this function on Google homepage has made the big G really the greatest page on the net.

A lot of people are influenced by crowd mentality and ready to exalt the new baby at once. To tell the truth Google has not created some kind of new revolution. It is another social network. However, it is much cleaner and more qualitative in its’ realization.

On the one hand it is a clean network, because not so many users are using it yet. If you have a lot of friends in Facebook, I bet it has become too difficult to follow all the news and updates on your wall. Too many messages and in most cases you see absolute chaos. It can happen to Google plus at some point too. However, for the time being it is much cleaner than Facebook and most probably Circles will help the network to stay clean for a long time.

Special features of Google plus

Circles

It is not difficult to see that Circles of friends are the core of this whole project.  You can create circles of friends, colleagues, family, business partners and etc. Before sending your composed message you can choose which group you want to send the message to. You may choose to send it only to friends or colleagues or only your family.

Hangouts

This is another and quite useful feature of the network. Up to ten users can participate in a Google plus hangout, which is basically a video chat page that can be used for business, fun, pleasure or casual talk between friends. It has fully integrated YouTube video channel and you can share with your friends various things that you find on internet.

Local sites

Google has been more and more working on bringing you results from your local geographical area. So, if you live in India, they would search for you a website from India for that particular keyword you type in Google homepage search box. The same thing they have done in Google +. Now you can easily find companies and businesses that are near you. This may include maps, addresses, phone numbers and working hours.

Follow interesting people

There are a lot of businesses as well as creative people who have moved to Google plus and you follow their thoughts, updates and read what they have recently been doing.

Looking at the current trend you can see that Google has been connecting so many various features that one should not be surprised to see Google owned operating system. One is for sure, if Facebook does not take serious measures to make more user friendly it may really die in the long run. Let us wish both Google and Facebook good luck and let the better one rule.
